We are fiercely united for a common purpose to create a healthy lifestyle and a lifelong love for running. Our desire is for our participants to leave the program with increased self-esteem who become empowered adults who lead happy and healthy lives. After serving on the Board of Directors for Girls on the Run of Northeast Wisconsin as well as Coach, Running Buddy and Sole Mate, Stephanie felt a pull to develop a more inclusive program for both boys and girls. In 2017, through a partnership with the Prevea Luv2Run program, our first group of students trained for 6 weeks for the Cellcom Green Bay 5k run/walk in May. After that season concluded, Stephanie developed curriculum with her team of Health & Wellness specialists from Kimberly-Clark Corporation and the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Kinesiology Department.

The program continued to evolve with curriculum development on life topics, running basics, nutrition, and self-esteem. Research shows that kids who participate in running programs have a much better chance of getting the required daily physical activity.  When we have healthier kids, they perform better in school and exhibit better behavior and social skills. Running means speed, freedom, healthy competition, and accomplishment. Our program teaches kids the joy in running when many think it is impossible.
